S is needed by plants in about the same quantity as phosphorous. Sulfur is absorbed by plant almost exclusively as sulfate (SO₄^2-) and BRIMSTONE (includes 95% SO₄^2-) is the best effective fertilizer for sulfur supply to plants particularly in Brassicaceae and Leguminosae. BRIMSTONE helps plants to synthesis of S- containing amino acids cysteine, methionine, etc. and increases the N:S ratio results in modifying NO₃^– accumulation and quality loss in vegetables. BRIMSTONE is involved in oxidation and synthesis of fatty acids directly leads to higher quality of oil in oilseed crops. As sulfur is required for the synthesis of ferredoxin, BRIMSTONE effects significantly on N₂ fixation by legume through development of nodules.  BRIMSTONE intensifies taste and smell of cruciferous vegetables and enhances resistance against pests and disease.
